On September 27, the CNBA, together with the Canadian Embassy to Norway, hosted our first event post relaunch. The Canadian Ambassador to Norway Deirdre Kent graciously welcomed around 40 guests to the official residence for an evening of networking and reconnecting with past, current, and future members of the CNBA. Sincere thanks to the Ambassador and the Canadian Embassy for their support of the event and commitment to the CNBA.

Deirdre Kent opened the evening with a welcome speech, followed by the new Chair of the CNBA, Pippa Boothman, who introduced the new board, the objectives of the organization, and some exciting plans for the coming months. A great response from the room followed, whilst our partnered caterers for the evening served Scandinavian inspired hors oeuvres, and of course the wine flowed.

We were very pleased with the attendance, which was nearly at the limits for our venue. Around 40 representatives from the Norwegian business community were present, from industries ranging from aqua culture, defense and aerospace, oil and gas, legal, tech, IT, to shipping. The diversity and active participation of the guests made for great discussions and interesting connections.

We are thrilled with the overwhelmingly positive response and look forward to growing this great organization with our new members. See you at our next event!
