Laura Dalby

Laura Dalby (BA [Major: Criminology; Minor: Political Science], Simon Fraser University, 2006; MA [Political Science], University of Ottawa, 2013) joined the federal public service in 2003 with the Canada Customs and Revenue Agency (now Canada Border Services Agency). In March 2009, she joined the Department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade (now Global Affairs Canada) as a Foreign Service Officer. In Ottawa, she held assignments including as a Trade Spokesperson and a Desk Officer in the Latin America and Caribbean Strategic Relations Division. Mrs. Dalby has served abroad in Cuba as a Trade Commissioner, in Guatemala as Senior Trade Commissioner and in Chicago, USA in two capacities: Innovation and Investment Team Manager and Acting Senior Trade Commissioner. Mrs. Dalby is currently the Senior Trade Commissioner at the Embassy of Canada in Norway. She is from British Columbia, is married and has one child.
